About

Mahdy El-Fil, a graduate in Business Finance from California State University, Long Beach, brings over a decade of leadership experience in the Healthcare Staffing Industry. Additionally, he serves as President/CEO of the nonprofit Next Level Basketball International Academy.

The inception of Community First Solar, a nonprofit (501C3), was serendipitous. Faced with escalating electricity costs, Mahdy witnessed his own bills soaring month after month. Despite initial skepticism, he took a bold step and financed solar panels, which drastically reduced his bills from $500 to $25. This transformative experience fueled his passion to assist others grappling with similar challenges.

Venturing into solar sales, Mahdy discovered a common barrier: financing hurdles deterred homeowners from adopting solar solutions, exacerbated by credit issues. Recognizing the disparity in solar accessibility, Mahdy embarked on a mission to democratize solar energy.

Community First Solar emerged from Mahdy’s steadfast belief that solar should be accessible to all, not just affluent individuals. Thus, he spearheaded efforts to make solar energy inclusive and affordable, transcending financial barriers.
